‘Would you help do the disc washing?’
‘Yes, I’ll do right after finish eating.’ It was a conversation when we were having lunch. My son, who did the cooking and had to go back to work courteously asked me who was still relishing my happy hour.
This is not a job, it’s contingency. There are scores given too! Ar Kong Kong already set a high bar for cleaning after meals and I have no intention to compete with him on that scale. Then, there are other two categories; gardening and playing with Boo. I really don’t want to get myself in between the two grams who claim to have their thumbs turned green. Well, there is only thing left that I have to do my best to get good score just to stay as a contender. How should I do to keep Boo entertained?
Though, I couldn’t recall that my dad had ever played or spent time solely with me, I would just bank it on my instinct and the experience from had raised three kids. And over the years, I learned that kids want to be somebody. Sitting at the head of the table to get the most attention, having the leading role in doing things, teaching rather than following, are things that keep kids at bay a little longer. Keeping my head low, is perhaps the most important gesture I would do. Yes, as low as kneeling down on the floor and crawling with Boo.
Do I care about what score I would be rated? Yes, I do. More importantly however,
if Boo is happy when playing with her grandpa.

“ช่วยล้างจานด้วยนะ”
“ได้สิ ขอกินข้าวอิ่มก่อนนะ” ลูกชายขอให้เราช่วยล้างจานเพราะเขาต้องกลับไปทํางาน เราต้องทำให้ดี ถึงแม้จะเทียบเคียงคุณตาที่ทำความสะอาดบ้าน ล้างจานได้สะอาดเป็นระเบียบเรียบร้อย แต่ถ้าให้คะแนนการเล่นกับเด็ก เราขอเข้าประกวดด้วย
จําไม่ได้ว่าพ่อเคยเล่นกับเราไหม แต่จะใช้ประสบการณ์จากการเลี้ยงลูกสามคน และในช่วงหลายปีที่ผ่านมา เราได้เรียนรู้ว่าเด็กเบื่อคนมาสอนมาสั่ง จึงอยากทำอะไรแบบผู้ใหญ่เช่นนั่งที่หัวโต๊ะเพื่อจะได้รับความสนใจมากที่สุด อยากเป็นคนสอนมากกว่าคอยทำตาม งั้นเราต้องลดระดับลงไปเตี้ยติดดินเวลาเล่นกับเด็ก เรียกว่าคลานกันเลย ทำได้ทั้งนั้นขอเพียงหลานปูจ๋าอยากเล่นคลุกกับปู่
